That doesn’t mean unbiased.

It just means both sides get to bullshit!

How will former president and 2024 GOP frontrunner Donald Trump’s March 4 trial start date impact his presidential campaign?

For Context: The trial in question pertains to the Department of Justice’s indictment against Trump for alleged efforts to overturn the 2020 election. The trial is set to begin on March 4, 2024. The following day is Super Tuesday, when 15 states are slated to hold primary elections.

“Strange and Self-destructive”: The Wall Street Journal Editorial Board (Lean Right bias) determined that the March 4 trial date “means that at least some Republican voters from early and Super Tuesday states will probably see their ballots as a chance to protest what they view as unfair treatment of Mr. Trump.” The “stubborn fact for Republicans,” the board argues, is that Trump’s legal risks “are political risks for the GOP,” determining that nominating Trump amid his numerous legal battles sets him up for a general election he is “likely to lose” and would be a “strange and self-destructive” choice for Republican voters.

“Fuel New Warnings”: A CNN (Lean Left bias) analysis determined the chosen trial date “increased the possibility that the Republican Party will nominate a convicted felon.” The date will “fuel new warnings from Republicans” that the trial is “proof of political chicanery.” According to the writer, this trial occurring before the November 2024 general election will give American voters an understanding of “Trump’s attempt to destroy America’s tradition of transferring power from one president to the next.”
